The King Saud University College of Medicine recently finished conducting the fourth Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Evidence Based Health Care Workshop, sponsored by the Sheikh Abdullah S. Bahamdan Research Chair for Evidence-Based Health Care (EBHC) and Knowledge Translation.
The University Hospitals Supervisor Mussaad M. Al-Salman attended along with the Chairman of the National Scientific Committee of Medicine Lubna Al-Ansary, the General Director of the Executive Office of Health Ministers Council of the GCC and Dr. Tawfiq Khoja, Director of the Executive Bureau of the Council of GCC health ministers. The seminar addressed ways to establish modern medical concepts needed to improve medical services throughout the Kingdom.
The Symposium was organized, in part, to better integrate clinical expertise and skills with the best available clinical advances in health research methodology, and develop a common professional language and mindset across all health care disciplines at the national and Gulf levels. The workshop was held at the College of Medicine, King Saud University.
