A joint research team made up of experts from King Saud University‘s Department of Geography and the University of Wisconsin Madison’s  Center for Climatic Research (CCR) is exploring dust storms, a phenomenon particular to Saudi Arabia. This important study tackles a weather anomaly that has a negative impact on the Kingdom’s transport, health, environment and agriculture.KSU Professor of climatology, Fahad Alkolibi, who leads the study, notes that the study deals specifically with better understanding of seasonal Saudi Arabian weather patterns, and developing a deeper understanding of the nature of dust storms.
