Princess Noura bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Chair for Women's Health Research in King Saud University has organized an awareness campaign about woman’s health, entitled “Stand Tall and Be Healthy”.

On this occasion, Chair Supervisor Dr. Al Joharah M. Al-Quaiz expressed her enthusiasm that the campaign was being launched simultaneously with the return of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz from his therapeutic trip abroad. And she thanked God and prayed for the King’s continued health and well-being.

Dr. Al-Quaiz said that the campaign will be celebrated on Monday, March 7, from 4 to 11 PM in the Prince Salman Social Center. She said the celebration will include lectures on vitamin D deficiency and its treatment by the Chair’s Dr. Mona Fouda, and Woman’s Health after Fifty by Dr. Fawzia Habib of Taibah University. In addition, lectures by Fahda Al-Ghoneim and Dr. Hana Al-Sobayel.

Dr Al-Quaiz said that the event will feature a display for distributing booklets and educational pamphlets, as well as door prizes. Medical and consultative services will be provided to women attending the event. These services will include measurements of blood pressure, glucose, body mass cholesterol, and triglycerine.

Dr. Iqbal Turkistani, head of the Women’s Health Chair’s awareness committee, said that activities will take place in three commercial malls in Riyadh on three separate days in cooperation with students of the KSU College of Medicine:

  • Gharnata Mall, Thursday, March 21,
  • Riyadh Gallery, Thursday, March 28;
  • Alatheem Mall, Thursday, April 5
