In February, King Saud Unversity’s College of Food and Agriculture Sciences launched a second-semester e-learning convoy, under the auspices of Prof. Fahad M. Alkolibi, the Vice Rector for development and quality College's main theater.
In an e-learning" convoy", participants move through a common process, bonding together very tightly through working together. Convoys typically have a beginning, a middle and an end.
Speaking at the ceremony were Dr. Alkolibi; Dr. Hassan A. Al-Kahtani, dean of the college and dean of e-learning and distance education. Dr. Al-Kahtani also acted as the convoy supervisor, who introduced products and services of the Deanship of Distance and e-Learning.
A display for students included information on the use of management systems for e-learning; a display for faculty members focused on the deanship’s services for e-learning and distance learning. Convoy activities will run through Wednesday.
The convoy included events for College of Food and Agriculture Sciences faculty members, including courses on the use of management systems for e-learning, management of virtual classrooms and the use of smart halls (lecture halls equipped with a wide variety of media technologies). Special events for students include learning applications for mobile devices and applications for the e-learning management system.
All students and employees of the college are urged to take advantage of these courses and workshops.
