Dr. Ali Al-Ghamdi, King Saud University’s vice rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, recently received Professor Victor Millet Schröder, vice rector of External Relations and Internationalization at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain for a meeting to discuss research collaboration between the two universities and the status of Saudi students on scholarship at Spanish universities.
Also present at the May 6 meeting were Dr. Faiz Alshihri, dean of KSU’s College of Languages and Translation, and Dr. Nasser Al-Mansour, assistant vice rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
Dr. Millet also visited the King Abdullah Institute for Nanotechnology (KAIN) and KSU’s sustainable energy technology institute, was apprised of current research projects and discussed areas of research cooperation between KSU and its international counterparts.
The Royal University of Santiago de Compostela is a public university with campuses in Santiago de Compostela and in Lugo, both in the Galicia region of Spain. The university, which traces its roots to 1495, has a student enrollment of more than 40,000.
