Dr Al-Ansary is the Sheikh Abdullah Bahamdan Chair for Evidence-Based Health Care and Knowledge Translation (EBHC), and has been a member of G-I-N since 2009.
She said her election to the board of trustees brings distinction to the Bahamdan Chair.
G-I-N is an association of organizations and individuals involved in the development and application of evidence based health-care guidelines and information.
Founded in 2002, it now includes over 90 organizations and more than 120 individual members representing almost 50 nations from all continents.
Dr Al-Ansary praised KSU for supporting the Research Chairs Program and expressed her deep appreciation for Rector Badran Al-Omar and Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmed S. Al-Aameri, for allowing the Bahamdan Chair to participate in prestigious international conferences and symposia.
The G-I-N board will convene in March in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and again in August in San Francisco, California.
The network’s mission is to lead, strengthen and support collaboration in evidence-based guideline development and implementation.
