In a qualitative achievement, Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at the Vice Rectorate for Educational and Academic Affair has accomplished a leading level by receiving Khalifa Award for Education in 2016 at the creative educational projects and programs category among the Arab World countries. The award was given for the Promising Teachers Program in the center. CELT has been considered for its activities and programs which have contributed directly in achieving the aimed expectations of students and faculty members. The General Secretariat of Khalifa’s Award pointed out that this success of the center should be followed by to raise the level of education in universities regionally and among the Arab World countries.

The director of the center and Assistant Vice Rector for Educational and Academic Affairs for Educational Development Prof. Saud Nasser Al-Kathiri has expressed the center’s excitement of winning the award, which is accomplished by the great support of KSU administration and the Vice Rectorate for Educational and Academic Affair represented by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Othman. The continuous efforts of our colleagues in the center and faculty members who have participated in CELT’s programs also have opened many opportunities and possibilities for the center to prosper and succeed.

Furthermore, the award is sponsored by the president of UAE himself and supervised via secretaries’ council headed by the Deputy Prime Minister. The award is popular and well-known among the Arab World countries which involves many fields in general and high education. The number of the award applicants is 600 candidates for all categories.
