The Department of Art Education at the College of Education at the Female Campus organized the exhibition “Art Shadow," which presented a variety of creative paintings. A group of students in the department participated by collaborating with some prominent Saudi graphic artists from outside the University for example; visual artists Mohammed Al Ajlan, and Modhi Muslih, the Al-Diwani calligraphy artist Basma Al-Jeffri, the artists Ahmed Hussein and the Alia Al-Bazai.

The exhibition inaugurated by the Vice Dean of the Quality and Development Unit Dr. Sultana Al-Sheikh,   the Vice Dean of the Department of Art Education Dr. Abeer Al-Muqrin, the Chair of the Department of Art Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Namla, and some faculty members.

 It included acrylic and textiles paintings, wood and metal works, and digital art paintings. Workshops accompanied the exhibition one was done by the artist Basma Al-Jafri on the Al-Diwani Arabic calligraphic, and the other by Alia Al-Bazai on drawing on leather.

The supervisor of the art education exhibition Ms. Rasha Fadel said that "she is proud of the creativity of the students and their great efforts which came as an excellent practical application of the theoretical part of the course." Adding;  “It was the first time done proficiently.”

She stressed on the role of Saudi artists participation" in which students were keen to acquire the necessary experience by collaborating with artists, and at the same time it is an opportunity for visitors to see high-level artwork.” 

At the end of the exhibition that lasted for two - days , the Department of Art Education represented by its students expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Vice-Rector for Female students’ Affairs Prof Einas Al-Eisa and the Dean of Humanities Departments Dr. Ghazil Al- Eisa for their continuous support of the exhibition and its requirements, which contributed to its success
