King Saud University Rector Badran Al-Omar has stated that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is blessed by a number of outstanding leaders who shine in their approach, vision and wisdom in speech and in deed. He said those leaders were chosen by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him, to work on the establishment of a promising future for the Kingdom and to cope with the conditions and needs of the times.

Rector Al-Omar congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on being chosen crown prince, and being appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and Chairman of the Council of the Political and Security Affairs.

The Rector also congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for being chosen as Deputy Crown Prince, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Board of Economic Affairs and Development.

Further, KSU Rector Al-Omar pledged allegiance by the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to the two princes. He pointed out that the choice of Prince Mohammed bin Nayef as Crown Prince came to confirm his successes in preserving the security of the Kingdom, and exhibiting the highest expertise during his service as assistant to the Minister of the Interior for Security Affairs, as Minister of the Interior, then Deputy Crown Prince. The Rector recalled that Prince Mohammed bin Nayef is one of the most prominent leaders who enjoy the great wisdom in dealing with the various domestic and foreign issues, as illustrated by his world-applauded success in the fight against terrorism to consolidate security in the Kingdom.

Moreover, KSU Rector Al-Omar also described the appointment of Prince Mohammed bin Salman as Deputy Crown Prince as an excellent choice, as the Prince is known for his youthful spirit and his tireless work to get the job done well in humanitarian, development, and military domains, as shown in the Decisive Storm Operation where he stood boldly in the face of danger to oversee the deployment of Army units and the readiness of military bases and deployed military forces to guard the sky and the territory of the Kingdom. He also recalled the Prince’s belief that on the ground following-up is much more efficient than following up from a dustant office. He again pointed out that active royal participation in the defense of the Kingdom vitalized the national resolve with a new sense of pride.

In addition, KSU Rector Al-Omar concluded his statement with imploring God to preserve and protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and bless his work and his life, and to also guide the hand of the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince in their new formidable tasks, and to protect the Kingdom and maintain its security and stability in the face of wicked and evil enemies.
