Research collaboration Between King Saud University and British Council

Under the patronage of the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Ahmed Al-Aameri, King Abdullah Institute for Nanotechnology (KAIN) recently held a workshop on "Nanotechnology and Its Applications", with the participation of  five British universities.

Further, the workshop intended to search for possibilities of joint research collaboration between KSU and the British universities and for a long-range establishment of research partnership.

The workshop, which was organized under the chairmanship of KAIN Dean Aws Al-Shamsan and with the participation of Mazyad Al-Terkawi, Supervisor of International Cooperation and Global Scientific and Management Twinning at KSU, included presentation of recent research activities in energy, water and biomedical applications carried out in KAIN and in the British universities.

In addition, the presentations were delivered by speakers from both parties, followed by round table discussions between the participating researchers. The workshop was attended by many researchers and nanotechnology specialists from KAIN, KSU and the British universities, and by many other interested scientists and graduate students. It is worth mentioning that the workshop "Nanotechnology and Its Applications" is a fruit of joint research collaboration between King Saud University and the British Council.
