King Saud University celebrated the graduation of the 56th and 57th batches of female graduates (Classes of 1441 and 1442) under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Nora bint Mohammad Al Saud, Wife of Governor of Riyadh Region. The ceremony was held virtually and live streamed via KSU’s official accounts on Tuesday, Shawwal 27th, 1442 AH. at seven o'clock p.m. The virtual ceremony featured “Leaders have passed through here” video, which featured some of KSU’s graduates who became brilliant leaders and served this country.

The University’s President, Prof. Badran bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, delivered a speech where he congratulated the graduates and expressed his great pride. He mentioned that the university has overcome a number of challenges and difficulties during the pandemic with God grace and government support, and has made effective decisions and deliberate steps for a safe and healthy community.

Prof. Alomar thanked HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud and HH Princess Norah bint Mohammed for their patronage of the graduation ceremonies, and his Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, for his constant and unlimited support to the University.

A documentary film entitled “University and the Challenges of Covid-19" was presented detailing the challenges of the years 1441-1442 AH in facing Covid-19, and highlighting the University’s achievements despite the pandemic, as well as the decisions and procedures adopted to protect the health and safety of society.

H.H. Princess Nora bint Mohammad Al-Saud expressed her joy to be part of the graduates’ special day, and her pride in overcoming the difficulties, as they are the leaders of the future and the real fortune of the nation. She lauded our leadership for making women empowerment one of the top priorities, and said "you are now witnessing an exceptional era of women empowerment. We always express our pride of Saudi women in different international forums and have confidence on your distinctive abilities in various fields". She also thanked the university’s leadership and faculty and administrative staff, and congratulated the students' families.

Furthermore, Prof. Ghada bint Abdulaziz bin Saif, the Vice-President for Female Student Affairs, congratulated the graduates saying that: "the images of this extraordinary day will remain in their minds throughout life".

She congratulated the graduates’ parents, and thanked his Excellency the Minister of Education, his Excellency the President of the University, and the university's staff for their support.

This was followed by a speech delivered by the graduates in which they expressed their delight, thanks and gratitude to the university, its leaders and staff. Then, a poem entitled "Excellence" was recited by a graduate.

During the ceremony, his Excellency the President of the University inaugurated the Alumni Wall, and the Virtual Exhibition which contained posts with graduates’ names and their degrees, and pictures documenting the most beautiful moments they experienced during their university life, which received a great interaction from the graduates and wide positive responses on social media platforms.

The ceremony concluded by honoring the graduates of the two batches, starting with the doctorate degree, then the top graduates from the master's and bachelor's degrees, and then the rest of the graduates of each college.
