Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer recently visited to King Saud University with his accompanying delegation.

The Prime Minister Seehofer was also accompanied with Ludwig Maximilian University Rector Bernd Huber and a number of high-ranking government officials.

HRH Prince Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed Al Saud visited the King Abdullah Institute of Nanotechnology (KAIN), KSU on February 9, 2015. Prince Turki was welcomed by the KSU Rector Badran Al-Omar and Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Ahmed Al-Aameri.

KSU Rector Badran Al-Omar inaugurated a special laboratory dedicated to Attoseconds  in the presence of Nobel and King Faisal prize laureates at King Abdullah Institute of Nanotechnology in College of Science. The dignitaries included:

- Professor Theodor Hänsch who holds the Nobel Prize in Physics

- Professor Paul B. Corkum winner of the King Faisal Prize in Science
