On October 26, 2020, the Center for Writing in English had offered an online workshop titled “Flash Fiction and Screenwriting: An Experience in Teaching and Learning”. It was presented by Dr. Hayat Bedaiwi, a published creative writer in the Broken Plate magazine, and a faculty member of the English Language and Literature department at KSU. 32 people had attended. Dr. Bedaiwi started with speaking about her learning journey and how she learned to write flash fiction and screenwriting. She began by defining flash fiction as one kind of creative writing. Moreover, Dr. Bedaiwi discussed the different types of flash fiction. Then, she went through the strategies of how one can start writing flash fiction and concluded by speaking about scriptwriting.
