Deanship of Development and Quality Celebrates "World Quality Day"

     On 8th-9th of November 2017, the  Deanship of Development and Quality in the Female Campus Celebrated "World Quality Day".

     The concept of "Quality"  means how the organization presents itself publicly in a manner that meets the high standards set by the organization. The "World Quality Day" is celebrated every year in November to increase consciousness of the significant contribution that quality makes towards the organizational, national growth and prosperity.

      For the purpose of advocating quality, colleges and deanships participated in presenting their initiatives that enhanced quality. College of Arts introduced the "Students' Support Center" initiative where top students can volunteer for tutoring.

     In addition, College of Computer and Information Sciences presented their initiative "Realms" (Awalim) in which volunteers from the college organizes workshops for high school students. Likewise, the Central Laboratory presented their initiative "Ask an Expert” to conduct guided tours to familiarize students with the lab facilities and equipment.  Moreover, the Common First Year Deanship presented "Share Your Expertise" where faculty shares their expertise with the students and a lot of deanships participated in the event.

     In the two days, numerous of workshops were conducted at the event. The first workshop was titled "Requirements of Academic Accreditation" organized by Dr. Mona Al-Shafie and targeted faculty and Quality staff. The next workshop entitled “General Requirements for Proficiency in Laboratories and Test Lab “ by Dr. Saleh Al-Onazi that targeted laboratory management, quality, inspectors, and development personnel. Following that a workshop entitled "Strategic Planning" by Maha Al-Nafi and targeted faculty and administrative staff. The first day ended with a workshop entitled "ITQAN"  (The Electronic Performance Management Platform), presented by Mashael Al-Drees.

     The next day, the workshops resumed with one entitled "Quality in Labs, Overview on International Technical Requirements of ISO17025" by Dr. Asma Al-Saleh that targeted medical faculty and Lab Technicians. Following that a workshop "ITQAN " by Muneera Al-Olayan. The final day ended with a workshop entitled "Moving Your Organization from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015" by Maha Al-Suwaid..

     This event represents the important role of quality of education in the organizational success.
