King Saud University Rector Sponsors Awareness Educational Forum "Ask to Save Lives"
On Sunday, 17 March 2019, the Female Student Campus organized the awareness educational meeting "Ask to Save a life". In order to, achieve the country aspirations in the national transition program 2030, the future vision of King Saud University, the University sense of its crucial social role, supporting different sectors of the country, and to achieve the mission of the Ministry of Health and activate its foundations. It was sponsored by King Saud University Rector Prof. Badran Al-Omar, and the honored guest wife of the governor of Riyadh Region, Her Highness Princess Nora Mohammed Al Saud.
"Ask to Save a Live" is an educational, awareness, social, recreational and interactive forum. It is one of King Saud University initiatives which contribute to raising social awareness on their rights and duties to reduce medical errors and give the patient a proactive role in the health care process. The forum also introduced the exhibition visitors to a unique experience inside the corridors of the virtual hospital, not to receive treatment, but to identify their full rights in each section.
The forum was moderated by various governmental and private sectors specialists and decision-makers in different fields according to the subject of the session. Forum participant; the Ministry of Health, the Saudi Patient Safety Center, some colleges and insurance companies.
The University seeks to achieve the country vision and aspirations in improving health care by raising public awareness of the Ministry of Health and other sectors services in improving the quality of both preventive and therapeutic of medical services.
