The International Month for Alzheimer's Disease at College of Medicine and Pharmacy at the Female Student Campus
The Community Relations Unit at the Female Student Campus, represented by Physiology Department at the College of Medicine and the College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with Saudi Alzheimer's Disease Association, organized the World day of Alzheimer's Disease. It took place on Tuesday, 4th of Rabi Al-Awwal, 1445 AH, corresponding to September 19, 2023, in the lobby of the College of Medicine and the College of Pharmacy at Female Student Campus.
This awareness and educational exhibition was held under the slogan #I_need_you in up with the September awareness month for Alzheimer's Disease.
The Department of Physiology, led by Dr. Fawzia Al-Ruq an Associate Professor and Consultant Physician in the Department, presented an overview of Alzheimer's disease main causes, the stages it goes through, methods of diagnosis, prevention, and treatment, as well as answering the attendees' questions.
The Herbal and Alternative Medicine Unit at the College of Pharmacy also presented an informative material highlighting the prominent herbs, oils, and fruits that contribute to reduce the speed of Alzheimer Symptoms, as well as awareness-raising elements and educational materials for all.
