by Nabeel Abdulqader: In September 28th, 2019, Riyadh will host the International First Conference of Emergency Medical Services (EMS Tomorrow) in collaboration with Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH), Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) & King Saud University (KSU) - Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz College for Emergency Medical Services (PSCEMS), attracting all paramedics & emergency medical care professions from the globe. 

The event will welcome a host of international and local guests to join the scientific conference focused on pre-hospital care, emergency medical care & life support research, developmental and innovation aspects of the ever-growing need of emergency care. It will also leverage the Kingdom's strategic position and enhance the country's emergency services. Dr. Hashim Bin Salleeh (Dean, PSCEMS) announced that we are delighted to host such a scientific event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia & sponsor of King Saud University with the collaboration of MOH & SRCA. إعلان كلية الأمير سلطان بن عبدالعزيز عن تنظيم المؤتمر الدولي الأول للخدمات الطبية الطارئة بمدينة الرياض في مطلع العام 1441هـ (سبتمبر 2019)

1st international conference in Emergency Medical services “EMS TOMORROW 2019”

وجه سعادة الدكتور/ هاشم محمد بن صليح، عميد كلية الأمير سلطان بن عبدالعزيز للخدمات الطبية الطارئة بتشكيل لجنة لتنظيم المؤتمر الدولي الأول للخدمات الطبية الطارئة واستكمال اجراءات الموافقة من إدارات جامعة الملك سعود على أن يتم التنظيم خلال الفترة من 28-1-1441هـ الموافق 27 سبتمبر 2019 ولمدة ثلاثة أيام ويرأس اللجنة المنظمة سعادة الأستاذ الدكتور/ طارق بن عبدالله الزهراني، وكيل كلية الأمير سلطان بن عبدالعزيز للخدمات الطبية الطارئة للدراسات العليا والبحث العلمي.

وقد عقدت اللجنة المنظمة عدة اجتماعات وصولاً لتحديد رؤية وعنوان الطابع العلمي للمؤتمر بإسم (الخدمات الطبية الطارئة بالغد) (EMS Tomorrow) وأن يواكب لرؤية المملكة العربية السعودية ويهتم بالجوانب المعرفية والمهنية، ووضع المرجعية العلمية في تخصص الخدمات الطبية الطارئة ورصد للتجارب والخبرات العالمية واسهامات وزارة الصحة وهيئة الهلال الأحمر السعودي في تطوير التخصص، وتجسيد دور جامعة الملك سعود في تحقيق ذلك. وسيتم التنظيم لإقامة عدد من ورش العمل المقدمة لمتخصصي الخدمات الطبية الطارئة مرافقة لأيام المؤتمر.

وتدعو كلية الامير سلطان بن عبدالعزيز للخدمات الطبية الطارئة واللجنة المنظمة لجميع متخصصي الخدمات الطبية الطارئة والمهتمين للاطلاع والمشاركة بالمؤتمر وورش العمل المصاحبة، وقد دشنت اللجنة المنظمة صفحة تعريفية على الشبكة العنكبوتية على الرابط:

KSU Participates in the Arab Digital Economy Conference

Under the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the First Arab Digital Economy Conference took place at Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from 16-17 December 2018.

The Translation Center offers a course on "How to Translate Books."

In cooperation with the Deanship of Skills Development, the Translation Center provided a course for the university faculty from 16th. To 17th. Sha'ban 1439 AH. It was entitled "How to Translate a Book" We appreciate the support of the Deanship; in particular the support of the supervisor Dr. Adel Bashatah. The course was delivered by the director of the center Dr. Ibrahim Al-Qarni and Dr. Mohamed Al-Jabali.

King Saud University has held an introductory meeting in the college of computer and information science (for both male and female students) to commence the national “FekraTech” initiative for digital ideas and projects, which will help contribute to the digital transformation in the kingdom and elevate the country to become one of the world’s leading digital innovation centers.
The “FekraTech” initiative aims to encourage society to innovate digital solutions for challenges in different sectors and turning them into profitable companies.

The College of Computer and Information Sciences at King Saud University collaborates with Northrop Grumman in the Cyber Arabia competition to promote innovation in cyber security among students of Saudi universities.

On Riyadh, October 6, 2017:  King Saud University (Represented by the Center for Excellence in Information Security and Command and Control Center) and Northrop Grumman Corporation announced their joint efforts to enrich creativity and excellence among Saudi university students in cyber security. 
As part of Northrop Grumman's global commitment to cyber education and workforce development, the third “Cyber Arabia” competition will be held on 11 and 12 October 2017.
